Die russische Pianistin Magda Amara und der österreichische Cellist Matthias Bartolomey treten seit 2011 in verschiedenen Kammermusikformationen auf. Ins brick-5 kommen sie am 31.1. als Duo und beginnen den Abend mit argentinischem 'Tango Nuevo' von Astor Piazzolla, kehren in der Mitte zu Beethoven, in eine seiner produktivsten Schaffensperioden zu Beginn des 19.Jahrhunderts zurück und schließen mit Musik von André Previn, dessen musikalische Sprache u.a. der Jazz und die amerikanische Filmmusik stark geprägt haben.

Das Duo Manu Delago & Christoph Pepe Auer trifft 3 hochkarätige Streicher aus London, die sich unter anderem im London Symphony Orchestra einen Namen gemacht haben. Das Crossover Ensemble mit den Instrumenten Hang, Bassklarinette, Violinen, Cello und ein paar kleineren Instrumenten wie iTanpura und mBira präsentiert seine Debüt-CD.
Living Room consists of Björk’s percussionist and Hang player Manu Delago and Austrian Jazz Newcomer of the Year award winner Christoph Pepe Auer. This pioneer duo focuses on exploring the bass clarinet’s huge tonal range and the enchanting sound of the new and magical instrument Hang.
Over four million people have seen Living Room push the limits on their instruments on Youtube. Their shows are full of surprise and chance, often having left audiences wonderstruck, bewildered and bemused. Among other curious features of the show, you will be able to see Christoph Pepe Auer play his own musical invention, the Pepephon.
